gypsy? me too....

This gypsy conversation and life etc is like catalyst to make you go on a vacation.. but what do you do when there is none in the plan that you can look forward to around the corner? I suggest simply revisit one of those photo albums you cherish. It acted as a soothing balm for me. At least for now...

Someone reading? Book your break at office please,,,,,putting them as wallpaper isnt enough, i say :P.

yes Monika, its VOF/Hemkund/Kumaun jungle, glad to know you have done that trek too.. its heaven on earth. isnt it.

Thanks Preeti, Prashanti, Solilo n Lyds.. The place is more beautiful than the pictures can capture..

You know Dhiren, we went in aug last year but a mountaineer guide who spends 3 months there every year said the valley is more colorful in july last two weeks. By aug most of them starts dying.. it was still so pretty that all the tiredness of the trek vanishes..
one tip: don't take a pony ride for downhill journey ever.. (usually for hemkund, one tends to take, but its worse on the pony back)better keep time for leisure trek if you tend to get tired.

noted !!

i m thinking of back packing all alone to there in august... err last week july... hope i can stave all the resistance that will come my way of going alone with my back pack... !!

Are you serious.. while its great to go alone and maybe join one of the groups already there, my personal suggestion is- take ur wife along man! you will miss her once u reach there..
Amit made the second trip last year only to show me the valley... :)

problem with taking wife is too much kharcha.. that means our kid too and that means we need hotels and decent travelling etc... sigh... i cant afford rite now... if i m alone i dont need a hotel no nothing... !!!

gypsy !! totally !!!

can we take kids there??? Seems awesome...

mindspace said...

Yes Rakesh, we saw quite a few families with kids there. but there are long treks involved so depends on the physical fitness and inclination of the kids towards such activities, I guess.

CS: I can understand sweety... but it must be easy for you. Just take a break from work. Head to a nearby green place. mumbai has quite a few... and enjoy! as for Valley of Flowers, yes its a must go place. Our very own Dhiren Bhai is organizing a trip, you must ask him for some special offer there :P

Nany: you know i was seeing some europe pics today, its a fantabulous place in terms of nature and beauty but as far as India is concerned, we too have heavenly places.. be it north, south, east, west or just any where.
the 2nd pic is of a glacial lake surrounded by 7 peaks located in the Himalayas at an elevation of over 4,600 m in Uttarakhand(My native). This and valley of flowers are situated at the same place.

Indyeah: Thanks for you visited my page. & I am glad to get your comment. Its evident that you are quite famous and loved in the blog world...
the pics, yes they are my oxygen here in Dubai. the first one is of kumaun roads, around nainital/almora.. you are in Delhi, i hope you know these places. and its so easy for you to head towards the hills. there are so many cool places.. While I am chilling in the artificially cooled interiors here, i can do just anything to be there :)

Tara,
VOF is definitely a must do on my priority list. Shall motivate hubby to do one this Aug/Sept. Thats the best time-right?
I know what u mean abt seeing old photos- but personally they depress me. Coz then I feel unhappy abt not being there RIGHT NOW!
Thanks for visiting my blof-Tara!
